Sheffield contractors are advised there are many opportunities to contribute to Practice Based Commissioning and should contact one of the three Locality PBC managers to discuss how they can contribute. For example:- Lobbying to be included as a community pharmacy representative in locality PBC groups and local improvement teams
Initiating and supporting the identification of gaps in service provision – use customer and patient input to identify new services
Establishing good links with your local GPs and discussing their plans for PBC
Getting involved in the design of care pathways
Keeping abreast of local developments, playing an active role in initial discussions
