NPSA Guidance on Labelling PDF Print E-mail

Following an incident where a patient was inadvertantly taking two different brands of diltiazem, Community Pharmacists are reminded of the National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA) guidance on labelling of medicines. In particular, the label should ideally be placed in the space provided by the manufacturer so as not to obscure other information including the generic name. This guidance can be accessed here.
